This is one of our favorite views, we spent most of our time in the lower level family room. Every morning Mr. Bruce put birdseed out on this rock wall; before he got back into the house several birds would come in for breakfast. There were always several cardinals, however there are several varieties of birds around. A few years ago we tried bird feeders. That didn't work as well since the squirrels kept knocking it down. Besides, it is great fun to watch over a dozen birds at one time.
There are so many different kinds of birds in the woods that we kept a bird book near by at all times. We have spotted 3 different type of hawks...so exciting to see them.
Just one part of the gazebo shows in this picture. The silly little black thing at the bottom was an attempt to keep a big black cat from stalking and catching the song birds.
